Came home the other day to see robins tearing up my purperea, found the small one bare root on the ground. Decided to make a final last ditch effort to keep the squirrels, robins, blue jays etc. out of the few outdoor cp's I have left. So I made this folding plant cage in the hopes of keeping them all out.
So far it has been successful at keeping the birds out, I get great satisfaction in watching them hop around the cage looking for a way in before they move on to vandalize my other plants. But, I have a feeling that the minute I leave the house the squirrels will be all over it. Hopefully, I won't come home to find it toppled over on the ground.
